Because we know that death could fetch anywhere and anytime. So if we want to die with su'ul khotimah? As a Muslim must Husnul Khotimah as the ultimate dream in this mortal life.
Istiqomah is someone attempts to take the teachings of the Islamic religion is right by not turning to the right or to the left. Istiqomah include the execution of all forms of obedience to
God both physically and spiritually, and leave all forms of his ban.
There are a few tips to always istiqomah in worship and muamalah.
1. Intention sincere move according to the teachings of Allah and His Messenger.
This as our main effort when the activity in each period. As the first benchmark in worship and bermuamalah. As the foundation to do the deeds have been taught. With a straight-nan sincere intentions, accompanied sincere without pleading as a Muslim who wanted to see the Creator in a happy state.

With the intention is good and right will be obtained kindness and replies that have been promised, only to Allah, we are extended sincere intention to gain pleasure in all the busyness.
فاستقم كما أمرت ومن تاب معك ولا تطغوا إنه بما تعملون بصير (112)
"So keep thee (Muhammad) on the right path, as commanded, and (also) those who repented with you, and do not transgress limits. Indeed, He is All-Seer of what you do ". (QS. Hud: 112)
A Muslim should cleanse his heart of nature want to be praised or worldly purpose while doing deeds of obedience to Him. In a hadith mentioned:
"Surely there is one among you whom he practiced with the deeds of Paradise to the extent that the distance between himself and heaven only stayed one span, but taqdir had preceded him so that he also practiced with the deeds inhabitants of hell, finally she began to go into hell." ( HR. Muslim, 4781)
2. Increase the prayer to Allah to always be given to istiqamah
Du'a is a weapon every Muslim most recent. يامقلب القلوب ثبت قلبي على دينك
It means: "O the One who was tossing and turning hearts, to lift our hearts above thy religion." [HR.Tirmidzi 3522, Ahmad 4/302, 1/525 al-Hakim, See Saheeh Sunan Tirmidhi III no.2792]
يا مقلب لقلوب ثبت قلبي على طا عتك
It means: "O the One who thumbed back the hearts of good courage unto me above obedience" [HR. Muslim (no. 2654)]
اللهم مصرف القلوب صرف قلوبنا على طاعتك
It means: "O God who directs the liver, caution incline us to obey you." (HR. Muslim)
ربنا لا تزغ قلوبنا بعد إذ هديتنا وهب لنا من لدنك رحمة إنك أنت الوهاب
That is: "Our Lord, do not make our hearts of hearts is perversity after You have guided us, and grant us mercy from Thyself; for verily thou-Grantor (the gift). "(Qur'an, Ali Imran: 7)

"Those who say," Our Lord is Allah, "and then they remain committed and, no worries on them and they do not (also) grieve. Those are the dwellers of paradise, to abide therein; in retaliation for what they had done. "(Surah Al Ahqaf: 13-14)
4. Get a friend who invites kindness

We have often heard the famous hadith of the Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wa sallam about the picture of a good friend and a bad friend, where he sallallaahu' alaihi wa sallam likens a good friend as a perfume seller and a bad friend as artisan blacksmith. Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wa sallam said
"Permisalan a good friend and a bad friend is like a perfume seller and a blacksmith artisan. About the perfume seller, if you do not buy the perfume and you will have the smell of the fragrance. As for the repairman Pandau iron, if you or your clothes catch fire then engaku will not get an unpleasant smell. "(HR. Bukhari, No. 1959).
5. Read siroh Nabawiyah adds to the experience in istiqomah

لقد كان لكم في رسول الله أسوة حسنة لمن كان يرجو الله واليوم الآخر وذكر الله كثيرا
"Ye have indeed in (self) Messenger was uswatun hasanah (a good example) you (that) for people who expect (grace) of God and the (arrival) Day of Resurrection and Allah much." (QS. Al-Ahzaab: 21)
Multiply the reading of the friend who is very hard in fighting for Islam can grow our optimistic attitude in charity, persevering attitude inflame us in keistiqomahan and gives the meaning of happiness in our lives.
In deed not just rely on the soul and mind, more than the foundation of a sincere heart into every practice reach keistiqomahan. Until one day we get a reply from the glory of God the Merciful. amen
